The energy sector remains Brazil’s leading issuer of Incentive Debentures (12.431) in 2024, representing approximately 34% of the total issued of this type in the year. Between January and April of this year, BRL 33.4 billion of incentivized debentures were issued, emphasizing energy (BRL 11.4 billion) and sanitation (BRL 7.9 billion).
The average spread of these operations was IPCA+7.0%, 60 bps below that recorded in 2023 (IPCA+7.6%), and the average total term was 12.06 years.
